Program Director, Mia Pollman Joined the Riverview Staff in 2000.

Mia Pollman, Program Director, joined the Riverview Staff full-time in 2000. Mia began her camping career in 1984 as a 10-year-old camper, and continued to camp until she was able to join the staff. Mia has worked in many capacities… Junior Counselor, Senior Counselor, Head-Counselor, WCIT Director, Assistant Program Director, Archery Instructor, Ropes Course Assistant, Riflery Instructor, OLS Instructor, Arts & Crafts Instructor… and the list goes on and on. Mia also is available as an Instructor for Nature’s Classroom Atop Lookout Mountain that utilizes the Riverview campus during the school year (many of our campers attend this program with their schools also). Mia earned her college degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi University College for Women in 1996 and taught school for three years in her hometown of Meridian, MS before accepting her position as Program Director of Riverview. Mia’s constant enthusiasm, cheerful attitude and extensive education and camping background offers Riverview Campers and Staff a wealth of knowledge. Her commitment to children and camping are obvious and appreciated by all who know her and work with her!.
